Sushen Talwar, CPA
Hello - I'm Sushen, but in the world of web3, I also go by 'soosh'. I've built my career at the intersection of traditional finance and emerging technologies, progressing through roles that have shaped my expertise in both worlds.
My journey began in external audit, internal audit, technical accounting, and revenue operations, establishing a strong foundation in financial controls, compliance, and scaling financial systems at growth-stage companies. This led me to Web3, where I've spent recent years building financial and operational infrastructure for crypto-native companies from the ground up.
My approach combines rigorous traditional accounting principles with deep crypto-native knowledge. I have taken companies from 0 to 1, establishing the financial infrastructure necessary to scale with confidence in a rapidly evolving industry.
I also have experience building and leading finance teams, implementing effective financial tech stacks, managing crypto and traditional treasury, introducing and managing organization-specific budgets, and ensuring compliance by default for GAAP and tax regulation.
Each role has been an opportunity to learn, lead, and pioneer financial practices in uncharted territory. I thrive in ambiguity and bring the discipline of traditional finance with the adaptability that Web3/Crypto demands.

Web3HODL is a Slack community for finance, tax, treasurers and accounting professionals working in any segment within the web3 industry.
I founded this community once I pivoted full time into web3 and realized there weren't any spaces where web3 finance folks could chat, help and brainstorm. This group now has over 300 finance, accounting, tax and treasury professionals working across Protocols, DApps, Marketplaces, Exchanges and DeFi projects.
Bringing like-minded folks in one place. Started with a small community, now grown to 300+ accounting, finance, treasury and tax professionals in web3.
